Got Me Thinking...

$656 million you ask?
I kept thinking about this as they announced the winners, maybe I should have started with buying a ticket?...
Minor detail.

1. Put aside 2/3 of it to save/invest
2. Donate to The Children's Brain Tumor Foundation and Make-a-Wish
3. Pay off mine an my parents debts
4. Buy my sister and BRS' sister new homes + all the taxes for life on them
5. Pay for my nephew and nieces college tuition and save $100,000/each for down payments on their future homes
6. Buy this every day home:

Wood totally redo this estate, but a good start?
Woodside, CA
Available - HERE

7. Buy this vacation home:

Tahoe Retreat in Incline Village, Nevada
Available - HERE

8. Take this apartment in the city:

Available - HERE

9. Buy this weekend home:

Weekend Review: Tahoe

46 degrees in the Tahoe snow - we are missing our cousin in Arkansas

86 degrees in the Bentonville ball field - our cousin is missing us in California

Adjusting back from fun family weekends has always been tough for me, does anyone know that feeling?
I love quality time with my family, and in this specific case my cousins.
There is this saying, "cousins are usually the first friends we have as children. No one will ever understand your crazy family like your cousins do even if you haven’t talked to much lately"
In my family this is so true, I don't have any brothers, my cousins are my brothers.
This is our second annual family ski trip, we've decided to make it tradition.

We built a snow lady
We (the boys) tackled the snow lady
We (the girls) made snow angels

We (the adults) drank hot toddy's
We (the boys) drank root beer
We ate too much (serious understatement)
We played endless hours of Yaniv and spoons
We laughed

Thanks to the other nine that came, I had a blast and can't wait til next year!
I love you all so much, each and every one of you.

Tahoe is a glorious escape, I am so thankful to be from the Bay Area and have this beautiful winter wonderland  in our backyard.

Where is your winter escape?

Happy Weekend!

Good morning!
And most of all, Happy Weekend All!

Just leaving home now to head up to Tahoe for the weekend.
Last night was my lovely bridal shower with BRS' mother's friends
They were all quite generous and we had a splendid time, I'm one lucky gal!

Hope everyone has a warm and cozy weekend where it's wet and snowy and a happy and fun weekend where it's warm, like sunny Bentonville, Arkansas!
Looks like it's going to be in the mid to high eighties, lucky them!

Wedding Wednesday: My Bachelorette!

Good Morning!
Yes, I just made you scroll through all these photos to get to this...
I am truly the luckiest girl alive to have all of these special women in my life!
My Maid of Honor, CJN
The one responsible for making this all happen!
She can brighten anyone's day, in seconds flat
She has a giggle that most four year old's have but can run an entire medical office (or 14 women with wine in them, which is more taxing?)
I've known her for 23 years and out of those 23 years we never went more than 2 weeks talking to each other, and that's because this lady has been to South Africa two times...
Once of which she bungee jumped off Victoria Falls
I about keeled over and died when she told me
Her heart is generous, forgiving and loyal, I am too lucky to have pushed her on the swings in pre-school so long ago.

The rest of these beauts...
I've known them for anywhere between 3 and 20 years, jealous?
Yes, I know.
Grade school besties to old co-workers, I count my blessings daily
This past weekend I honestly had at least a dozen quiet moments to myself where life hit me, I was flooded with joy and happiness that I have these wonderful women in my life, forever.

Delicious dinners
Heartfelt cheers
Incredible wine
Generous gifts
Scrumptious treats
Delectable shared lunches
Unbelievable spa treatments
Ab clenching laughs
Cardio fitness dancing
Snuggles by the fire
Thoughtfulness in general...

My weekend was pure bliss

And for this, I thank all of my girlfriends...

I hope everyone has women like these in their life like I do, I am truly blessed in every way.

Have a wonderful day!

How I Spent My Sunday...

In pure healthy bliss...
Indian Springs - Natural mineral baths, spaaah!

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone!
Today has been just gorgeous!
Started out with coffee with some of the besties, plus someones new beau ; )
We all "approve!"
Then off to the Faire.

We headed to the Alameda Antiques By the Bay Faire, which is the first Sunday of every month.
If you are ever in the San Francisco Bay Area, make your plans around that Sunday, it's a must!

http://alamedapointantiquesfaire.com/

There are such great finds from vintage Mickey Mouse phones to Allan Adler Silver.
It's a GREAT place to find wedding decor, home accents and furniture, and best of to find one of a kind unique gifts.
You honestly need the whole day to make it through the whole thing, we hardly put a dent in it.
If you do get a chance, start early, bring water, comfortable shoes, sunscreen (regardless if there's sun or not, fog is deceiving remember!), and an apetite!
We enjoyed chicken curry naan wraps that were to die for.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and is lucky enough to have late Spring weather like us!
Yes, we're wearing shorts!
My cousin pitched the second game at his baseball tournament in Arkansas and won, I'm SO proud of him!
Friday night was fun too, I went on a ride-along with BRS, that's how we do "date-night", lucky me ; )

Have a terrific evening and talk to you tomorrow!

Let's me just share some finds...

Awesome cart table, only $300!

We have this skinny hallway that's too dark for art, snatched up these vintage tennis rackets for $3.00 each! Instant art!

All of my framed art is from the Faire (shhh...)

The "Betty" (Draper) dress

Green milk glass

ACM and EMH

Checking out the goods...
