The Preppy Pup

It seems like my pea pod pups (corny, I know!) are the center of my world at times
I'm not ashamed of it, they bring so much joy into my life and are always the first to show me love every morning
I am not a crazy cat lady, I am just a proud dog owner - okay, hair stuck to my clothes maybe
But... I love them, as noted HERE

I just adore these key fobs from Smather's and Branson

How cute would this be on my front porch?

I would love a pair of these for my wall!
It's too bad there are no Foxhounds

I HAVE to have this needlepoint pillow, it even looks like my girl!

Dad received this extra special gift from my Mother for Christmas two years ago, of our lovely Madeleine Rose (Maddie) in an amazing hunting scene
Oil on Canvas

No sense in being embarrassed to show your affection and pride for your pups, right?
After all, there are many options in decor that do not scream tacky

Show them off, they are your loves after all!

Wowzers!

In case you're wondering what's been going on around these parts...
HOLY.MOLY.ME
Not quite tunic weather, eh?
Had to cut the birthday dinner short last night to tend to the poor pea pup, Logan...

BRS leaning on Logan to calm his nerves... he needs a squeeze machine like in Temple Grandin
And yes, we have the Thunder Shirt, and no, it was not working...
Poor pea pup!

Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone!
Today has been just gorgeous!
Started out with coffee with some of the besties, plus someones new beau ; )
We all "approve!"
Then off to the Faire.

We headed to the Alameda Antiques By the Bay Faire, which is the first Sunday of every month.
If you are ever in the San Francisco Bay Area, make your plans around that Sunday, it's a must!

There are such great finds from vintage Mickey Mouse phones to Allan Adler Silver.
It's a GREAT place to find wedding decor, home accents and furniture, and best of to find one of a kind unique gifts.
You honestly need the whole day to make it through the whole thing, we hardly put a dent in it.
If you do get a chance, start early, bring water, comfortable shoes, sunscreen (regardless if there's sun or not, fog is deceiving remember!), and an apetite!
We enjoyed chicken curry naan wraps that were to die for.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and is lucky enough to have late Spring weather like us!
Yes, we're wearing shorts!
My cousin pitched the second game at his baseball tournament in Arkansas and won, I'm SO proud of him!
Friday night was fun too, I went on a ride-along with BRS, that's how we do "date-night", lucky me ; )

Have a terrific evening and talk to you tomorrow!

Let's me just share some finds...

Awesome cart table, only $300!

We have this skinny hallway that's too dark for art, snatched up these vintage tennis rackets for $3.00 each! Instant art!

All of my framed art is from the Faire (shhh...)

What's Been Goin' On...

Instagram over usage? Maybe.
Good end to a week, yes.

Just checkin' in, keeping my virtual diary...

This past month I've been on this major running kick and am determined to run a half marathon this Summer.
You know, because I don't have enough on my plate already...
With this great summer-like weather, it's hard to not want to hit the pavement with my little peas and enjoy the scenery after work, we racked in a good twenty miles this week!
We've been running this scenic route overlooking the San Francisco Bay and even ran to my parents on Wednesday.
Grandpa was nice enough to give us a ride home since it was getting too late to make the 3.5 miles home.

The Girl and her Grandpa, Hi Dad!

Maddie (my Labrador sissy) and Logan hanging out the window, cute huh?

Maddie Rose and Logan

Thursday was girls night at my house and we organized and shared our recipe books, lots of fun!
SAF was nice enough to bring over some delicious olive tapanade and hummus that I can't seem to get enough of. I'm almost sad to see the bottom of the package!
I tell you celery goes with just anything, might have to grow some this summer!
peanut butter.hummus.tapanade oh my!

Yummers!

Finally got this pot rack we bought years ago hung up, Ikea special.
Nice to have quick access to my pots and pans I must say.
Downside? Yuck, dirty pans!
Upside? Finding out how AWESOME Barkeepers Friend is!
Where the heck have I been?
Who thought my copper pot was this dang beautiful!
And... It's only $1.99! Even less because I used my blue saver (aka 20% off Bed, Bath, & Beyond coupon)... yes, I used a coupon on a $2.00 item, don't judge.
Pots Hung, Finally!

Let's see, what else?
Oh! Sock bun!
Again, where the HECK have I been?
This genius invention looks like a mesh doughnut and helps achieve that fantastic fully, fun, flirty bun!
Got this idea from Aspiring Kennedy, thanks Lauren!
MUST try for everyone!
See her posting - HERE
There have been a few other random obsessions lately in my world but I'll spare you the ramblings, must say these little things do keep me ticking!

Honey Bunny

I hope everyone has had a great weekend so far and I wish you a spontaneous and fun Sunday.
Or be lazy too, that's great in my book too!
Next weekend... Antique Fair with my BFF and her new beau!
Stay tuned....

Pause: Peas on Our Run

It's such a beautiful day for a run, I am so thankful to have the best companions for a run. Today the Bay Bridge is closed to westbound traffic so it's pretty empty!

I hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

My Sweet Peas

I am insanely obsessed with my pups, always have and always will.
I am excited to get off at 5PM and rush home every day to open our front door and have their sweet wet noses greet me with love.
Their love is endless and so unconditional.
They know my moods and I have theirs down too.
Shelby eats too fast and Logan jumps too much.
They're not perfect to most, but they are to me.
BRS and I have been discussing how to incorporate them in our wedding day.
An extra flower girl and best man? I mean Logan is man's best friend.
Dirt paw prints on my wedding gown though... I think not.
